The excitement and anticipation of college can be a clouded with the concern for health care especially if you are not on your parents insurance.

There are so many details that go into place as you prepare for college, that it can be something last on the list, but finding yourself in the hospital without insurance can be very scary.

After you read this article you’ll know where to turn to get money for healthcare even if you don’t have an income.

I’ve worked in colleges and universities for years helping students prepare for their first day, (while attaining my masters degree), I’ve spent time working for doctor’s offices, I became a fitness trainer, and I’ve run my own independent business as an Insurance Agent. One thing that I’ve seen as consistent is that there is very little information about where to turn if you don’t have healthcare but need to see a doctor. So I decided to put together great tools to help you find where to turn when you need medical care, but simply don’t have insurance.

The most ideal thing would be to be included on your parent’s health care plan until you’re 24, however, for many this is not possible; especially if your parents don’t have insurance.

Before you get started make sure you have these available.

· Birth Certificate

· Social Security Card

· Drivers License or State Identification

· Bank Statements- include your savings account

· The last thirty days of check stubs, from your employer, or spouse’s employer if applicable.

1. To start, pull up the internet or a local phone book, locate a free clinic in your area. This resource is completely licensed and staffed Medical Center frequently attached to a hospital. This source is a vital starting place, when you are looking for care but can’t break the bank.

2. Locate a local pharmacy; inquire about health screenings, and medications you may need, both over the counter and prescription. Often you can get your blood pressure taken, and even blood sugar checked

3. Find out if there is a pre-med department, talk to an Academic Advisor to see if they host health fairs, this is one way Residence can get the hours they need for graduation.

4. Find a Medicare application and see if you can get coverage, even if you’re working; they can help you afford medical coverage. Perhaps you have some insurance but not enough insurance; it’s possible they can help with this as well. Depending on the state. These amazing free benefits will really help you.

5. If there isn’t a pre-med area of study, look for a local health care fair, or contact a hospital and find out if they offer health fairs. For basic checkups look online or the newspaper for health fairs, where you can get a number of screenings that you’d typically have to pay for.

6. Talk to a physician- tell them you are in college, talk to a nurse for free advice. Ask what they do with patients who can’t pay with insurance. Find out if they have a sliding scale payment plan. This means that they’ll take less money as long as you are making less.

These few tips are just the tip of the iceberg, there are so many other resources that you can pool from to get the money you need. This includes non-profit organizations which are willing to help you cover medical, expenses even if you’ve already had a trip to the Emergency Room.

Check this out you can get money to cover

· Emergency care

· Ongoing care

· Eyes

· Dental

· Cancer and much more

This is a must have resource for anyone needing money for medical care. Or if you are just looking to get more insurance, i.e. perhaps you just had your coverage reduced so that your company could keep your position. If so don’t wait another minute come learn where you can get the, coverage you need. http://www.sophiemaddox.com/insure

Just think how much less stress you’ll be under when you find that you’re able to find a way to help your family find medical coverage even with little or no income.

I felt a huge burden lift once I sifted through numerous sources and realized that there are places I can turn to take care of the needs, this has always been a fear of mine. I wanted to make sure my family was taken care of my family even if I wasn’t working. I was able to learn some of this from time I spent researching. Later I went into insurance as an Agent, and saw that these tips really do work to help your family are field, not only in doctor’s offices but as an insurance Agent.

Critical Proven Tips:

I’ve been able to help my friends and family navigate the waters of being uninsured and needing medical care, it’s possible to make it fit into any budget.

I’ve been there I know how frustrating it can be when you don’t know what your options might be. Knowing that I was unemployed, while lying on my back in a hospital is one of the scariest things, you don’t know what’s wrong with you but you can be sure that it will cost a lot. As you read the rest of this article you’ll feel more confident that there are things you can do to help your family work through this tough time.

Go with the path of least resistance first.

1. If it applies see if you can be added to your spouse’s health care plan. Even though this is outside of when your spouse’s company has their open enrollment time of year it may be possible to be added to the policy if you are no longer working. So Check here first.

2. Contact COBRA, you should have information on this in the papers you received when you left your company, and get a quote what that would look like for you if you make changes to the deductible, if you are young and healthy then this may be best until you find another job.

3. Check with a couple of different insurance companies and find out if they offer a low cost solution for those who are unemployed. With the current economy this may be a possibility.

4. If you have kids look to get them insured on a public program with your county or state even if the whole family cannot get on Medicaid. If you can get your children covered then get another quote from COBRA, see if the cost is manageable for you.

5. Contact your local county and find out what kind of options you may have for them to help you cover medical expenses. Most don’t know to ask for this, so it can be quite an untapped resource for you. These are often of little or no cost to you.

Amazing! It’s hard to believe that there are free options out there but there are. But there are some amazing plans that look to help you take care of your costs like the options above. I’d also recommend taking very detailed notes to prevent trouble later on.

Now for the Budget that Demands Free: If the options above don’t work for you then I’d look in your county and state for free clinics which will pay for you or your family’s treatment while things are tough. These clinics or hospitals are free to you and your family. But if you find that you have to go if you don’t end up in the emergency room, be prepared to wait a bit.

These few tips are just the tip of the iceberg, there are so many other resources that you can pool from to get the money you need. This includes non-profit organizations which are willing to help you cover medical, expenses even if you’ve already had a trip to the Emergency Room. Check this out you can get money to cover:
· Emergency care
· Ongoing care
· Eyes
· Dental

This is a must have resource for anyone needing money for medical care. Or if you are just looking to get more insurance, i.e. perhaps you just had your coverage reduced so that your company could keep your position. If so don’t wait another minute come learn where you can get the, money and coverage you need. http://www.sophiemaddox.com/insure Or check out other articles at: http://www.sophiemaddox.com/category/articles/

This can be one of the scariest times in life, learning that you’re pregnant & knowing that you don’t have insurance to cover the healthcare you need. You should be happy and planning for the best thing to happen to you, not worrying about money to pay for your medical care.

That’s why I’m writing this article, to provide information and resources for you, so you can be confident that you can get the care you need for you and your new little one.

I’ve found that there is little information to help you get the care you really need.

A little about me; I’ve worked in doctor’s offices, as a fitness trainer, and as an Insurance Agent, so I pooled information from this and my experiences, and put this all together for you. The eye opener for me was when I ended up on my back in a hospital emergency room without insurance. I knew that I had to do something to help those of us who’ve been without insurance find the help and money they needed to take care of self and family.

Here are the 5 ways to get the care you need. Grab a pen to jot these down.

1. The first thing to do is contact your local department of health and human services office. If possible go in person, there will be documents you need to sign and show to get things started, bring your partner, this way they can help you keep track of everything.

Make sure you have these documents ready when you talk to any agency about your need for medical care. Birth Certificate

*    Social Security Card

* Drivers License or State Identification

* Bank Statements- include your savings account

* The last thirty days of check stubs, from your employer, or spouse’s employer if applicable.

This is the best place to start. They have a lot of resources and they cannot refuse a pregnant woman for care.

Side note: If you happen to get insurance during your pregnancy, it cannot be considered a pre-existing condition, they have to insure you as long as you fall in the HIPPA guidelines for your state. Be sure to ask about this when you visit.

2. Apply for Medicare, even if you are working and have some income, but lack enough insurance this is a place to apply for health care.

Here’s what they provide:

· Essential prenatal care

· Provisions for the birth

· Provisions for the delivery

· Help in case of emergencies which come up along the way

Additional Resources

3. Other places to look for free care, look up local health fairs in your community, these often offer testing for blood pressure, and blood sugar

4. Another handy resource is your local pharmacy; they have years of training as well as some health screenings offered particularly at a large chain pharmacy. Ask them questions about pre-natal vitamins, and medications both over the counter and prescription.

5. Find a free clinic in your area; Believe it or not these are licensed and staffed Medical Center which are often connected with a hospital, the funding is taken care of by the government.

These few tips are just the tip of the iceberg, there are so many other resources that you can pool from to get the money you need, including where to turn for free medical care for your infant. Additionally you’ll know where to look for non-profit organizations that are happy to help you cover medical, expenses even if you’ve already had a trip to the Emergency Room.

Check this out you can get money to cover

· Emergency care

· Ongoing care

· Eyes

· Dental

· Cancer and much more

This is a must have resource for anyone needing money for medical care.
Without a doubt you can get medical coverage, no problem. The challenge comes in knowing where to look, and who to ask where to get the medical care you need.

Oh, but you’re in luck you have me. I’ve not only found myself unemployed without insurance, but I’ve worked in doctor’s offices and as an Insurance Agent, so I compiled years of work study and experience to give you this valuable information.

Okay get your print button ready, or grab a pen. This will truly help you and your family.

1. Free Medical Clinics; there are fully staffed board certified clinics that offer medical care for free, look for the ones in your area. Call to find out if they are connected to a hospital, and if there is anything you need to bring if you have an emergency.

2. Side Note: Ensure that you receive, better, and faster advice from the doctor, with a printed summary of you and your family’s medical back ground, include medications, surgeries, family history, and ongoing medical conditions, and allergies. This will really help you get the best service.

3. Pharmacies: These are amazing resources for you; look at what you can get from a Pharmacy that you may not have thought about.

· Screenings, blood pressure, blood sugar testing, and flu shots

· Advice, years of training makes them an expert on not only the prescriptions, but over the counter medicine as well. Be sure to ask about the medicines you are currently taking and compare this to those you are considering

· Clinics- Large chain pharmacies even offer medical screenings for various health concerns

4. Talk to a physician- Tell them what’s happening, talk to a nurse for free advice. Ask what they do with patients who can’t pay with insurance. Find out if they have a sliding scale payment plan. This means that they’ll take less money as long as you are making less.

5. It’s possible to get free samples from your doctor so be sure to ask. Perhaps you know of others who have similar medical concerns, talk to your doctor about a group visit to get support as a group together.

6. Take part in group visits with your physician or support groups for those with similar diseases.

For your Kids: Contact your county and find out what you can do for medical care, often there is a low or no cost option even if you can’t get coverage through medicare. If there isn’t anything at your county level look at the state level to find out what your options are.

Believe it or not there are actually low or not cost medical coverage options. There are more options than ever for individual and family plans are increasing to meet the rising need of the uninsured. When I hit rock bottom, job gone, thousands lost on Wall Street, and my wife unable to find anything either. I decided to research to see what my options were. I am so happy to tell you that I found something which will really make a difference on how you can get free or low cost medical care even if I’m unemployed and don’t have an income. You can’t miss these amazing tips.

Grab a pen and jot these down.

1. Are you out of work due to in injury related to your job? Many of the clients I’ve worked with are not aware that they have a medical coverage option with Workers Compensation. This will help cover your medical bills while you are not able to pay for them yourself. Contact your State and let them know you have been off work due to a work related concern and request for someone to help you through the process.

2. Apply for Medicare especially for your kids; they can qualify at times even if you don’t. If so this is one less thing you have to worry about, if not contact your county and ask what options they’d have for kids who are uninsured.

3. Then you can take advantage of free screenings for yourself if you’re in good health, if not there are other options for you. Free screenings are often offered at a local college, contact the college to find out when and where, make sure it’s open to the public. If not talk to a medical department of a college and ask when they offer free screenings. A lot of times this is offered so that the Doctors in Residence can get the necessary hours they need.

Don’t miss this!

4. If you have a pre-existing condition that prevents you from getting on a typical insurance plan. Contact your state, and look up the High Risk Health Insurance Pool many have this option; they may request you apply for COBRA, the coverage option you’d receive just after leaving your job.

5. Another low cost option; there is a Health Insurance Discount Card option. Just to clarify this is not an insurance plan. However, you pay a small monthly amount and obtain cards which allow you to go to the doctor and you’ll have discounts on all the services the doctor offers.

6. Call you or your kids doctors and find out if they’ll work on a sliding scale, in other words they’ll accept a much smaller payment because you are unemployed, or unable get medical insurance from a job.

7. Look up any free clinics in the area, and find out what you need to bring in to verify the need for care at a no cost clinic or hospital.

These few tips are just the tip of the iceberg, there are so many other resources that you can pool from to get the money you need. This includes non-profit organizations which are willing to help you cover medical, expenses even if you’ve already had a trip to the Emergency Room.
