After a tough semester there is nothing better than taking a much deserved break. And the holidays are a perfect time to recharge the batteries, spending time with family and friends is essential to being ready to face a new semester, with new academic challenges.

Sometimes I found that a few relaxing activities weren’t enough to recharge the battery. I needed more something that not only rejuvenated the body and mind but I felt that my heart and soul needed to rejuvenate.

Here are several things I found very helpful.

25 Creative Ways to Unwind After Finals

Do you know what I loved about being in college? The seasons, like now you have the Christmas Season and the time you can take away from the crazy rush of college, finals, classes, projects, time schedules, etc.

The Christmas Season taught me the importance of having down time.

After working like crazy all semester and then of course during finals week; I was ready to take a break. I was so glad that there was typically a week or three that we could take to recuperate spending time with family and friends.

Getting the funding needed for college is often the biggest deciding factor for many college students.

What I’m here to do is to help you understand two factors that can help you get more funding for college. So let’s look into a couple of critical secrets.

(I’m not a Financial Aid Advisor, this is just based on my experience, as a college student, and college advisor.)

Getting into college is challenging, this is why an Admissions Advisor works with you to get into college.

They’re there to walk you through each step in the process, guiding you each step of the way.

But a must have cheat sheet is helpful too. At times an Advisor will use phrases or words common to a college but not something used outside of the college admissions process.

Years of working with students, has shown that we don’t always ask questions if we don’t understand the meaning. It’s our way of protecting ourselves from feeling embarrassed that we don’t exactly know what’s being said.
