If you’re like me you love Face book, Twitter, and Linkedin and connecting with new and old friends.

It’s amazing that if we are out of touch with someone we can look them up and reconnect with a number of different online tools, not available several years ago. It’s astounding, who we can find and learn about online.

While this does amazing thing for your social life, it can do something less than amazing for your professional and college life if you’re not careful.

I was stunned…

We have many community colleges in the US, but I’d have to say this can be the least understood type of college; while at the same time one of  best options for many of us. Actually I’d wager this is one of the best academic gems we have that gets the least publicity.

Growing up I had no idea what a Community College was, what I found that I wasn’t alone. I’ve taken classes at a community college, but this was only to finish my degree, I lacked one class that my university wasn’t offering for another year or so.

I love all the holiday planning time with friends and family, but when you are considering college how do you get everything ready for college and plan for the holidays?

Planning for college is so exciting, there are all the new possibilities, the excitement over acquiring new skills and its life changing potential is exhilarating.

So let’s not take any of the wind out of your sails when it comes to getting into college, no let’s just help simplify and smooth out the process.

The thought of going to college as an adult can be very stressful, but …

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say you may not know of the advantages you have as an adult going to college over your younger peers…

Want to get out of some of your college classes, and still get credit for them?

If you’ve been looking into college, or perhaps you are already enrolled, there is a way you can get out of some of your classes. Most Advisors I’ve met don’t mention this excellent secret where you can get credit for classes without taking the class.  It’s called a CLEP exam.

A number of  regionally accredited colleges will accept the CLEP exam, or they will have their own placement exams where you can pass a test and get the college credit for the class.
